| The increase in the number of pets and the “intelligent” related technologies gain popularity, a little around the world and especially in China.
Pets have until recently been seen as a “decadent bourgeois habit” in China since the Communist Party came to power over 60 years ago. However, “smart technologies” have been attracting an increasing number of middle class people, along with their use in connection with pet animals. Chen Xufeng, marketing manager of the Guangdong Lekong IOT Technology Co Ltd software company, based in Guangzhou, announced that “intelligent” electronic devices with practical use within the scope of pets will grow by 20%-25% over the next 2 to 3 years. More than 10 million devices used by pets are sold on the Chinese market every year, according to RTDechEx, an independent market research company. In addition, there are 300 more manufacturers of “intelligent” devices for our worldwide pets, of which more than half are in China; RTDechEx predicts that this will increase to more than 500 as the market expands.
